Pocatello City Council Calls for Audit

(POCATELLO, ID) – The Pocatello City Council has called for an audit of the Street Department. The council issued a statement on Mondayexpressing frustration about the lack of transparency involved in an ongoing investigation regarding Mayor Brian Blad.

The mayor authorized the use of city equipment and supplies to pave streets in other southeast Idaho communities, some of which may have been done without compensation.

The city is using an independent auditor to determine what actions will be taken in the coming weeks.
