Report: Christina Ricci Gives Birth to a Baby Boy

Craig Barritt/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Christina Ricci is a new mom. Sources confirm to Us Weekly that the actress and her husband James Heerdegen recently welcomed their first child, a baby boy.
The 34-year-old actress had kept her pregnancy a secret up until this past May when she was photographed making her way through L.A. International Airport with Heerdegen, sporting a noticeable baby bump.
A source told Us Weekly at the time that the couple was excited about the birth. “They are thrilled and ready for a change of pace,” the source said.
Ricci met Heerdegen in 2011 on the set of the ABC drama Pan Am where he was a dolly grip. They tied the knot last year in New York.
Ricci revealed to the magazine in 2013 that she “absolutely” wanted kids, adding, “I can’t wait to have our own little world replete with small beings!”
Ricci will next be seen in the ensemble drama Mother’s Day, opposite Susan Sarandon and Sharon Stone. It’s due to hit theaters in 2015.
