Sources tell the Miami Herald the state is expected to drop the driving under the influence charge in exchange for the 20-year-old singer accepting a guilty plea for careless driving and resisting an officer without violence.

According to the report, the deal requires Bieber to attend a 12-hour anger-management course that will be conducted as a private class to avoid a fan frenzy, and also to view videos of tragic DUI cases.  The singer must also pay court fines and make a $50,000 charitable donation.

The Miami Herald reports Bieber is not expected to appear at the hearing today in Miami-Dade County Court.

The Bieb was arrested on January 23 in Miami Beach after what police described as an illegal drag race against a friend.  A breath test at the time determined the singer’s alcohol level was below the 0.02 limit for underage drivers, but urine tests showed the presence of marijuana and an anti-anxiety drug. Bieber was also was charged with driving on an expired license.
