Seth Meyers Details What TV Lovers Can Expect During Primetime Emmys

Lloyd Bishop/NBC(LOS ANGELES) -- Don't expect much singing and dancing when Seth Meyers takes the reigns at the Primetime Emmys. He can't even sing and dance, according to a new GQ profile.

Instead, the late-night talk show host said television lovers can expect "just really well-written jokes."

The Emmy Award-winner is particularly looking forward to his opening monologue. "As the night goes on, more people are upset because they haven't won -- but the monologue is the one time of the night when everyone is in a really good mood. And positive. And optimistic," he explained.

The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards, being held inside the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles, will air live on NBC next Monday.
