4,600 Pot Plants Found in Southern Idaho Cornfields

BURLEY, Idaho (AP) – Police have seized about 4,600 marijuana plants worth more than $13.8 million from three cornfields in south-central Idaho.

The Times-News reports in a story on Thursday that the Mini-Cassia Drug Task Force seized the plants in southern Cassia County.

Authorities say they spotted the plants from the air.

The operation included the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Mini-Cassia Search and Rescue, and agencies from Cassia County, Minidoka County and Jerome County,

Police are continuing to investigate.
