(JACKSON, WY) – The Moose-Wilson Road in Grand Teton National Park was closed Wednesday because of bear activity.

Authorities expect intermittent closures in the coming weeks as black bears and grizzlies fatten up on chokecherries and hawthorn berries. All vehicles and bicycles are prohibited between the Death Canyon trailhead and the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center.

The park will reopen the road once the bears wander out of the area.
