(BLACKFOOT, ID) – The 2015 budget and levy for Bingham County are lower than the current fiscal year. Commissioners approved a $28 million budget that includes a two percent raise for county employees and $200,000 for a public defender payment system.

Commissioner Mark Bair says the overall budget is about two percent smaller than it was for 2014. KIDK reports that Bingham County’s overall sales tax revenue went up about three percent, which is a good sign that Bingham County’s economy is on the up-swing.
