Bird Causes Power Outage for Thousands in Pocatello
Published at | Updated at(POCATELLO, ID) — A couple thousand Idaho Power customers in Pocatello were without power for about 30 minutes on Tuesday.
Brad Bowlin, communications specialist at Idaho Power, tell KPVI that a bird caused a short in a downtown substation, leaving 2,370 customers powerless.
One man had to be rescued from an elevator that was stuck between floors. The Pocatello Fire Department was able to get the man out in about ten minutes. He was not injured.
