Blackfoot Man Presumed Drowned

(BLACKFOOT, ID) – A 52-year-old eastern Idaho man is missing and presumed drowned at Blackfoot Reservoir. Richard Lee Sherbel of Blackfoot has been missing since Monday afternoon.
Family members reported finding his swamped boat at around noon. Sherbel is a skilled fisherman and boater who knows the reservoir well.
Search and rescue teams from three counties have been brought in to help organize a search. This is the third suspected drowning at the reservoir in less than three months.
