Cell Tower Proposed at Chubbuck School

(CHUBBUCK, ID) – Some Chubbuck parents are up in arms about a proposed cell phone tower on the Chubbuck Elementary School playground.
T-Mobile wants to put it there to help provide better coverage for their customers, and would pay District 25 $1,500 a month to cover it. Opponents tell KPVI that they’re concerned that the tower could fall down and hurt children in windy conditions.
Mayor Kevin England says the tower will go forward as planned as long as its construction follows city codes and FCC safety guidelines.
