Charlie Strong Continues to Clean House at Texas
Published at(AUSTIN, Texas) — University of Texas head coach Charlie Strong continued cleaning house Tuesday.
Strong dismissed his ninth player of the season when he kicked junior offensive tackle Kennedy Estelle off the squad for violating team rules.
Estelle has been suspended for the last three games after starting at left tackle in the team’s season opener.
This is not the first time Estelle has been suspended while at Texas. He wasn’t allowed to play in the Alamo Bowl last season after being ruled academically ineligible.
Estelle joins former starters Kendall Sanders and Joe Bergeron, as well as Leroy Scott, Chet Moss, Montrel Meander, Chevoski Collins, Deoundrei Davis and Jalen Overstreet, as players that have been dismissed from the team since March.
