Cox explained that on the night the show debuted, the entire cast watched the show together, in fact, she says, “We did it every single Thursday for the first year.”

Cox went on to explain she was disappointed her character Monica’s haircut never became a trend, like Jennifer Aniston’s “Rachel” ‘do.

“It kinda bums me out,” the Cougar Town star laughed. “I mean, we had the same hairdresser…and I got nothing. So I just kept changing it…but nothing ever stuck.”

Cox was on Kimmel weeks ago, taking part in a sketch for which Kimmel had her Friends character’s kitchen set painstakingly recreated. He explained to her, however, that fans weighed in to note Cox’s imitation of the Friends theme suffered from an extra “clap.”

Kimmel offered Cox a chance to redeem herself, which she did, after offering “I always thought five was better.”
