Jury Duty Scam Targets Bonneville County

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – A jury duty scam is targeting Bonneville County residents. KIDK reports that scammers are calling people telling them that they have warrants out for their arrests for failing to appear for jury duty.
The caller claims to be a sheriff’s deputy, and requests that would-be victims pay their fines over the phone using a credit card or money transfer card. Officials say they’d never call to collect money for fines.
They’re urging those who receive the calls to get as much information as possible and to report it to law enforcement immediately.
