Park Service Sets Lottery for YNP Snowmobile Tags

The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports that the re-emergence of private riding in the park is part of a long-term plan that park officials completed last year.
Park spokesman Al Nash says he expects big demand for private permits. They’re being distributed through a lottery that runs through Oct. 3 and costs $6 to enter.
Nash says he expects most people will apply for permits around the holidays and competition should be less for dates during other times.
