Ray Rice to Appeal Suspension
Published at(NEW YORK) — Ray Rice is expected to appeal his indefinite suspension from the NFL, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reports.
Rice was originally handed a two-game suspension for his domestic violence case and then released by the Ravens and suspended indefinitely after TMZ Sports released a video tape of him hitting his wife in an Atlantic City, New Jersey elevator in February.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell admitted that he did not get the suspension right and later instituted a six-game suspsension and a lifetime ban for a seond domestic violence offense.
Rice must file the appeal by 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
