Risch Calls for Intervention with ISIS

(BOISE, ID) – U.S. Sen. Jim Risch says the U.S. needs to act quickly to prevent ISIS from expanding in Iraq.
Radical Islamists have taken over large swaths of Northern Iraq and Syria, killing thousands of ethnic Yazidis, Christians, and other minorities along the way.
Risch tells Local News 8 that he agrees with the president’s decision to limit the number of troops on the ground, while continuing precision airstrikes and offering logistical support for the Iraqi Army.
Risch believes failing to act soon may empower the Islamic extremists in the region, and put more Americans at risk.
