South Valley Connector Moving Forward

(POCATELLO, ID) – Construction on the South Valley Connector is moving forward in Pocatello. The road, which will be finished in December of 2015, will connect South Fifth Avenue to the Bannock Highway on the sound end of town.
Engineers tell Local News 8 that the new road will be especially helpful for emergency responders, who sometimes have a difficult time reaching accidents because of the railroad tracks dividing the city’s east and west sides.
The project has been in the works since the 1960s.
