(5) Baylor Scores 24 Straight in Fourth to Rally Past (9) TCU, 61-58

iStockphoto(WACO, Texas) — Fifth-ranked Baylor scored 24-straight points, erasing a 21 point deficit with 11:38 left to play, to beat ninth-ranked TCU, 61-58 Saturday.
After Baylor tied the game on Bryce Petty’s 25-yard touchdown pass to Corey Coleman, TCU had a chance to win. The Horned Frogs (4-1, 1-1 Big 12) drove it to the Bears 45 but turned it over on downs after failing to convert a fourth-and-three. Baylor then marched down the field before Chris Callahan delivered the game-winning 28-yard field goal with time expiring.
“I just knew, looking at guys’ faces, that we were going to come back in that game,” Petty said. “With our offense and the way that we play defense, 21 points isn’t a big deal for us.”
Petty finishes the game completing 28 of 55 passes for a career-high 510 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions.
Baylor (6-0, 3-0 Big 12) has now won 13-straight home games.
