Four Arrested in London on Suspicion of Terrorism

Raylipscombe/iStockphoto/Thinkstock(LONDON) — Four men were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of terrorism, the Metropolitan Police said.
The men, each 20 to 21 years old, were arrested after the execution of warrants at multiple London locations. The men were taken to police stations in Central London and remain in custody. Police said that one of the men, 21, was tasered during the course of his arrest — but that he was uninjured and did not require medical treatment.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command, SO15, took the lead in the execution of the warrants and were assisted by officers from the Specialist Firearms Command. No shots were fired during the course of the arrests.
Police continue to search “a number of residential addresses and vehicles” as part of the investigation on Tuesday evening.
The men were officially arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.
