Gwyneth Paltrow Addresses Martha Stewart Diss

Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Gwyneth Paltrow addressed Martha Stewart’s diss for the first time Tuesday evening. While speaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit, she acknowledged that she was aware of Stewart’s recent criticism of her.
“No one has ever said anything bad about me before, so I’m shocked and devastated,” Paltrow joked, according to E! News. “I’ll try to recover.”
She added, “If I’m really honest, I’m so psyched that she sees us as competition. I really am.”
Stewart spoke out against the Goop founder in a Fall 2014 issue of PORTER magazine. “She just needs to be quiet — she’s a movie star,” Stewart said. “If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.”
Things got even more awkward earlier this week when former president and CEO of Martha Stewart Living, Lisa Gersh, was hired by Goop to be the lifestyle website’s new CEO.
