Sen. Risch Visits Idaho Falls

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – U.S. Sen. Jim Risch was in Idaho Falls Tuesday. He spoke during a question and answer session hosted by the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce.

Risch tells KIDK that one of the biggest international issues facing the country is Islamic terrorism. He called ISIS a “danger to America” that will grow worse if the U.S. puts more troops in the region. Risch is part of a growing coalition of libertarian-leaning Republicans who want to avoid another major military conflict overseas.

Several lawmakers say the task of controlling ISIS would be better handled by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
