Cardinal quarterback Kevin Hogan threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns in the victory and helped his team avoid a letdown at home.

“It was a hard, tough game on a short week. Another physical game honestly, like Washington State defensively, they’re a physical group. So, a long week. Now an extra day, we’re going to give our guys some rest, we got to recuperate,” Cardinal head coach David Shaw said after the win.

The Cardinal hasn’t dropped consecutive games since October 2009 and are now 9-0 after losses under Shaw.

“We got positive yardage. We got running backs running out of tackles. We didn’t have you unblocked guys in the backfield. I thought our offensive line was steady,” Shaw said.  “We talked about not just trying to kill guys, we talked about just keeping them blocking, staying blocking and let our runners be runners.”

Remound Wright rushed for 98 yards and had a touchdown in the win.
