“I wish I could do everything differently,” Giudice told US Weekly. “But then again, maybe not, because this is a life lesson that I need to learn and will learn, and will teach my children for the rest of my life, just as Judge [Esther] Salas told me she expected me to do.”

U.S. District Court Judge Salas had some parenting advice for the reality star last Thursday during her sentencing. “Your four daughters need to understand discipline. If you don’t have it, you shouldn’t spend it,” she said in court. “If they won’t like you because you’re not driving a Benz or walking on Jimmy Choos or Manolo Blahniks, then they’re not your friends.”

The judge also staggered Teresa’s sentence with her husband Joe’s three and a half years.

In a special interview for Bravo that aired earlier this week, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star said she’s not worried about turning herself into prison.

“I’m going to do fine [in prison]. …I just want to make sure my daughters are OK. I just want to talk to my daughters every day. I want [Joe] to bring them to me,” she said.

Turning to Joe, Teresa added: “Just make sure you come once a week.”

The reality star will head to prison on Jan. 5.
