Via Twitter, Michael Phelps Announces He Will Enter Rehab

CHRISTOPHE SIMON/AFP/GettyImages(NEW YORK) — After his second DUI arrest, Michael Phelps announced on his personal Twitter page that he is going to rehab.
The Olympic gold medalist was arrested on Tuesday after Baltimore police charged him with driving 84 mph in a 45 mph zone, crossing double lines, and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Through his Twitter page, Phelps stated, “I’m going to take some time away to attend a program that will provide the help I need to better understand myself.”
Phelps will reportedly enter a six week, in-patient program.
