While at South Carolina, Lattimore was a dynamic talent, but suffered serious knee injuries in 2011 and 2013 that caused him to miss extended time.

It looked that he had fully regained his form during his last collegiate season, but he tore every ligament in his right knee and dislocated the kneecap.

Despite his injury troubles, the 49ers rolled the dice and drafted Lattimore in the fourth round of the draft in 2013. Many draft experts believed if he was in better health, he would’ve been a first round pick.

He spent the entire 2013 season on the non-football injury list, and is still currently on that list.

Lattimore scored 38 touchdowns during his time at South Carolina.
