Jaguars Place Rookie WR Allen Robinson on Injured Reserve

iStock/Thinkstock(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.) — The Jacksonville Jaguars placed wide receiver Allen Robinson on the injured reserve list Tuesday because of a broken right foot. He suffered the injury during Sunday’s 31-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in London.
The Jaguars selected Robinson out of Penn State in the second round of this year’s NFL draft. In his rookie campaign, he had 48 receptions for 548 yards and two touchdowns. Robinson leads the team in receptions and receiving yards.
With Robinson out, the Jaguars are expected to rely heavily on veterans Cecil Shorts III as well as rookies Allen Hurns and Marquise Lee.
