Nearly 25 Million Travelers Expected to Fly for Thanksgiving

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Nearly 25 million people are projected to fly on U.S. airlines for Thanksgiving this year, according to Airlines for America.
The 24.6 million travelers expected to take to the skies between Nov. 21 and Dec. 2 is an increase of 1.5 percent from 2013.
Airlines for America says airlines have been implementing various measures, from adding seats to improving amenities, in order to stay competitive with the increased holiday demand.
If you plan to visit loved ones for Thanksgiving, the airline industry trade group says Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday will be the least congested days for travelers, while that weekend will be the busiest.
