Protestors Burn Down Front Doors of Mexico City’s National Palace
Published at(MEXICO CITY) — Protests over the disappearance of 43 college students in southern Mexico turned violent Saturday night in Mexico City.
Protesters have burned down the front doors of Mexico City’s national palace as a part of angry demonstrations against Mexico’s corruption and drug violence.
The protests follow a comment by Mexico’s attorney general on Friday, who cut off a news conference about the students’ apparent murders by saying “enough, I’m tired.”
The phrase has quickly become a hash tag on social networks and has appeared in graffiti, political cartoons, and YouTube videos.
