Sanchez threw for 332 yards and two touchdowns, and the Eagles defense did the rest of the work.

Philadelphia sacked Panthers quarterback Cam Newton nine times and forced five turnovers with three picks in the rout.

Darren Sproles capped off a terrific first quarter with a 65-yard punt return to give the Eagles a 17-7 lead.

“Just an outstanding performance by all three phases,” Sanchez said.

Newton and the Panthers have now lost four in a row.

“We’ve got to do things better,” Panthers coach Ron Rivera said. “I have to coach better, coaches have to coach better, we have to practice better and then go out and play better. And we’re going to do it together as a team.”
