Coming off an upset loss to the New York Jets last week the Steelers continued to show signs of playing down to their opponent.  With an opportunity to put the Titans in hole with less than one minute to in the first half, Ben Roethlisberger tossed an interception to defensive back Jason McCourty. Tennessee immediately capitalized when rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger found a wide open Nate Washington streaking upfield for an 80 yard touchdown strike.

The Titans would enter halftime leading 17-13 and would assume a lead of 24-13 when late in the third quarter, Mettenberger connected with tight end Chase Coffman for a short touchdown.

The Steelers would regroup as their defense remained firm and Roethlisberger began to find a groove connecting with his receivers on short and intermediate passes. Running back LeVeon Bell also carried the load as he rushed for 204 yards on 33 carries and added a touchdown.

The Steelers are now 7-4 as they head into their bye week.
