Suicide Attack Targets Foreign Compound in Kabul
Published at(KABUL, Afghanistan) — A suicide attacker driving a small truck packed with explosives targeted a foreign compound in the eastern part of Kabul Tuesday.
The attacker, acting in the guise of a construction materials delivery person, detonated the explosives at the entrance of the compound, killing two Afghan private security guards and injuring a foreign national.
After the explosion, two additional suicide attackers armed with small arms tried to enter the compound but they were both killed by other guards on duty.
Taliban were quick to take responsibility for the attack in a statement, saying their target was a compound run by foreign intelligence.
In the last few days, there’s been an increase in the number of suicide bombings and other types of explosions in Kabul.
