Queen of England Honors Notable Figures Ahead of the New Year

Chris Jackson/Getty Images(LONDON) — The term “#NewYearHonours” is trending on Twitter after Queen Elizabeth released her annual New Year’s honors list on Tuesday.
Among the honors, actress Joan Collins of Dynasty is now a dame, the female equivalent of a knight.
The list of more than 1,100 recipients of honors includes an adviser to Tony Blair and the chemist who created Viagra while working for Pfizer, Dr. Simon Campbell.
