Wall Street Posts Losses as Oil Prices Drop
Published at | Updated at(NEW YORK) — After Friday’s close brought all-time highs, Wall Street opened the new week on a down note Monday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 106.31 to 17,852.48.
The Nasdaq slipped to 4,740.69, 40.07 lower than it opened, and the S&P 500 dropped 15.05 to 2,060.32.
Bloomberg News reports that oil prices continue to drop after the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries opted to keep their production levels steady, despite an increased supply of oil.
