Westbrook dominated on Thursday as he scored a game-high 34 points, pulled down five rebounds, and dished out 11 assists.

“You’ve just got to rally behind him,” said Thunder guard Anthony Morrow. “He’s a leader, natural born. He comes out there, he plays hard.”

Second-year center Steven Adams had one of the best games of his career as well, as he scored 16 points, pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds, and blocked three shots. Forward Serge Ibaka also added 21 points.

“I thought they outplayed us almost in every facet of the game,” San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said. “When somebody retrieves 50 percent of their shots, you can’t say you’re focused or playing competitive in any way, shape or form.”

Spurs guard Manu Ginobili scored 11 points, had seven rebounds, and dished out 13 assists in the loss.
