Virgina is off to their best start since Ralph Sampson led them to a 23-0 start during the 1980-1981. They’ve also won their first five ACC games for the first time since that same season.

Guard Malcolm Brogdon led the game with 20 points, while forward Anthony Gill was the only other Cavalier to score in double figures on the day.

Even though Virginia shot just under 43% from the floor, they held to Eagles to just under 39% shooting.

It was an impressive offensive performance by Virginia considering Boston College entered the game allowing the fewest points in the nation at 50.6 points per game.

Despite the win, it was anything but easy for Virginia on Saturday. They trailed by three points after halftime, and were outscored 14-6 by Boston College to start the second half.

Virginia leads Syracuse for the top spot in the ACC.
