Amanda Bynes Won’t Be Charged for September DUI Arrest

Dave Kotinsky/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Amanda Bynes will not face charges in connection with an arrest last September on suspicion of driving under the influence. However, she can’t put the incident behind her just yet.
The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office tells E! News that while it has declined to press charges against the 28-year-old actress, the case is being forwarded to Los Angeles prosecutors as a potential violation of her probation.
Bynes, who’s on probation for a 2012 DUI arrest, was arrested in Los Angeles last September for allegedly driving under the influence of a drug. The following month, she was placed on a psychiatric hold; she was released from the hospital a few weeks later.
