Fox left the organization on Monday, a day after the Broncos were eliminated from the postseason by the Indianapolis Colts, 24-13.

“The main thing between John and I is we disagreed how to get to the next level,” Elway said. “Because we accomplished so much, four AFC West championships, but I think the biggest miss between us was how we are going to take that next step and what it was going to take to get to that next step.”

In four seasons roaming the sidelines for the Broncos, Fox went 46-18 (.719) in the regular season and 3-4 (.429) in the postseason. He led Denver to four consecutive AFC West division titles and an appearance in Super Bowl XLVIII.
