Lucas — who sold Lucasfilm, the production company responsible for the Star Wars films, to Disney in 2012 — was asked by Cinema Blend to share ideas he’d presented for the upcoming installment, The Force Awakens.

He answered, “The ones that I sold to Disney, they came up to the decision that they didn’t really want to do those. So they made up their own. So it’s not the ones that I originally wrote [on screen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens].”

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams, will hit theaters Dec. 18.

Disney, which is releasing the new Star Wars movie, is the parent company of ABC News.
