Leonard Nimoy: “Star Trek” Co-Stars William Shatner and George Takei Remember Their Friend
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Leonard Nimoy died on Friday at the age of 83, and Hollywood is reeling from the loss.
Flowers will be placed on his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, and many of his fellow actors expressed their condolences on social media.
“I loved him like a brother,” his Star Trek co-star William Shatner wrote on Facebook. “We will all miss his humor, his talent, and his capacity to love.”
Star Trek co-star George Takei also posted on Facebook saying, “We return you now to the stars, Leonard. You taught us to “Live Long And Prosper,” and you indeed did, friend. I shall miss you in so many, many ways.”
Best known for playing Spock in Star Trek on TV and in film, the actor also worked in the theater, portraying Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, and published poetry and books of photography.
