Behind the Scenes: Prince William Visits Forbidden City

John Stillwell – WPA Pool/Getty Images(BEIJING) — Prince William’s trip to Beijing marks the first time in almost 30 years that a member of the British royal family has visited China.
The prince was greeted by a media frenzy at the Forbidden City Monday after officials emptied out the ancient site for him to tour.
ABC News’ Bob Woodruff takes us behind the scenes of this carefully choreographed historic visit, and asks Chinese reporters about their first encounter with the prince.
“How’s your Chinese coming?” one Chinese reporter asked the prince.
“Slowly,” Prince William responded before offering a cautious “nihao” — hello.
“I think he’s very cute,” another Chinese reporter told ABC News, “after he became a father he is more charming than ever.”
