Flowers, 29, joined the Chargers after being released by the Kansas City Chiefs last June.

The Chiefs saw Flowers as a poor fit in defensive coordinator Bob Sutton’s man-to-man defense, but the corner flourished in San Diego’s zone coverage scheme.

Additionally, the Chargers have come to terms with free agent guard Orlando Franklin, according to The UT-San Diego.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal is for five years, $36.5 million, with $20 guaranteed.

Franklin, 27 was a second-round pick of the Denver Broncos in the 2011 draft. The 6’7,” 320 lb. guard has started 47 games for Denver.
