Still and his daughter Leah were one of the great stories in the NFL last season.

The Bengals signed Still to their practice squad so he could afford Leah’s treatment for her Stage 4 neuroblastoma and the team made jersey’s that raised money as well.

Many former and current players and coaches bought jerseys and sent messages to Leah.

“It’s great to have Devon back with us,” Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said in a statement. “We know it has been a very difficult journey for him the last year. Devon remains focused on Leah’s recovery and on furthering his NFL career, and we’re excited to be able to provide that opportunity.”

Doctors originally said Leah had a 50-50 chance of living, but Still announced on Instagram Tuesday that doctors didn’t “see any active disease” in her body.

Still played 12 games last season and was side by side with Leah throughout her treatments.

“Now that it looks like things are headed on the right path, I’m ready to go back and play football,” Still said in the team’s statement.
