Report: Mark Ingram To Stay With Saints For Four More Years

(NEW ORLEANS, La. ) — The New Orleans Saints are keeping running back Mark Ingram around for a few more seasons.
The Saints and Ingram have agreed to a four-year deal, worth about $16 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Ingram was one of the two first-round selections by the Saints in the 2011 draft. New Orleans took the Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama with the 31st choice, but his NFL career has not equaled the same level of performance of that with the Crimson Tide.
The 25-year-old ran for 964 yards and nine touchdowns last season, both career highs. Injuries and splitting carries with fellow running backs have held Ingram in check.
For his career, Ingram has rushed for 2,426 yards on 582 carries and 20 touchdowns.
