According to a fundraising page set up by friends of his, Ahmed Al-Jumaili had stepped outside to witness snow for the first time in person on March 5 when he was shot dead in front of his Dallas home.

Al-Jumaili had recently moved to the United States after securing finances for he and his wife, who was already living in Dallas.

Last week, police released a video of a suspect on Youtube, asking the public to help identify him. It is still unknown whether Al-Jumaili was specifically targeted in the shooting.

“He may well have been an unintended target,” said Maj. Jeff Cotner of the Dallas Police Department.

The suspect has not been identified yet.
