(MINNEAPOLIS, Mn.) — The Miami Dolphins have found a way to rid themselves of wide receiver Mike Wallace.

Two seasons after signing Wallace to a $60 million contract, The Dolphins have traded the speedster and a seventh-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings for a fifth-round pick.

The Vikings were one of Wallace’s top pursuers when he hit the market in 2013 after spending four seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Minnesota will now install Wallace into a passing attack that includes Greg Jennings and Charles Johnson.

Wallace, 28, wore out his welcome in Miami after an inability to consistently connect with quarterback Ryan Tannehill and tensions reached a head when the receiver reportedly quit on the team during the Week 17 loss to the New York Jets.

Last season, Wallace hauled in 67 passes for 862 yards and 10 touchdowns.
