The campaign would aim “to give every family, every small business, and every American a path to lasting prosperity by electing Hillary Clinton the next President of the United States,” the memo says. “This campaign is not about Hillary Clinton and not about us,” referring to the campaign’s staff. “It’s about the everyday Americans who are trying to build a better life for themselves and their families.”

The memo harps on a team mentality, with each “guiding principle” beginning with the word “we.” Clinton’s campaign, the memo notes, would be “a diverse, talented family,” which will “work together, empower and respect each other, and have each other’s backs, especially our volunteers.”

The memo also discusses discipline, saying a Clinton campaign would be “driven every day by strategy, not tactics or one offs.”

“We are humble,” it continues, “we take nothing for granted, we are never afraid to lose, we always outcompete and fight for every vote we can win.” The memo further acknowledges that “this campaign will be won on the ground, in states.”

The memo cites Clinton’s “bedrock values of hard work, service, fairness, and faith in the American Dream,” calls for responsibility and notes “the importance of having fun.”

“We are open to a diverse range of views,” the memo adds.

The most apparent message from the memo, however, are its first words. “We Are Hillary for America.”
