I.F. man arrested for burglary, grand theft

IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Falls Police arrested 20‐year‐old Dennis C. Wilhelm for burglary, grand theft and felony eluding after he broke into the Commercial Tire compound and stole 10 truck tires Tuesday night.
The Idaho Falls man was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
According to reports, police responded to the Commercial Tire compound, located at 840 Mercury, around 10:14 p.m. for a burglar alarm. Officers arrived and saw Wilhelm driving away from the location. Officers followed Wilhelm’s vehicle and activated their overhead lights to stop the vehicle. Wilhelm fled from police, until he was eventually located and stopped near 49th North and 26th West.
Wilhelm was in possession of the tires, valued at $200 each.
