Rumors are swirling that he’s gotten quite close to his professional partner, Kym Johnson. But the Shark Tank star played coy when asked.

“She’s a great dancer and she’s become a great friend,” he said in an interview that aired Monday on ABC’s Good Morning America. “It’s more than just the dancing. I think we just get along great!”

Herjavec even offered Johnson his Ferrari if they won the mirror ball trophy, though he’s since gifted her a toy replica of the car.

“You know, sometimes you say stuff in the moment because it seems so impossible that we would win,” he clarified. “But every week as we go on, she reminds of that. We’ll see if we get to the finals.”

Herjavec said the dance competition “[couldn’t] have come at a better time in my life.” That time was right after he went public with his split from his estranged wife, Diane Plese. The two had been together for more than two decades, and he had been having a hard time coping with the separation, even contemplating suicide.

“I got to a point where there was no tomorrow for me,” he said.

However, by volunteering to help the homeless, Herjavec said he was able to pull himself out of the depression. These days, he said he’s finding great joy dancing on the ballroom floor.

“I just wanted to get past week one,” Herjavec said. “I really didn’t think we were going to last.”

On Monday’s Dancing with the Stars, Herjavec and Johnson will perform to “The Last Waltz,” by Engelbert Humperdinck. The show airs at 8 p.m. Eastern on ABC.
