MOUNTAIN HOME – Three police officers are being called heroes after rescuing two kittens in poor condition Friday afternoon.

According to the Mountain Home Police Facebook page, officers Robert Elom, Josh Martinez, and Reserve Officer Annette Bigalow rescued a kitten who was stuck on the top of a speed limit sign on Sunset Strip.

The Facebook post says some kind citizens stopped to help the officers and the kitten, along with its brother, was dehydrated, malnourished, and scared.

Police report the Mountain Home animal shelter is now caring for the kittens and officers “will not turn away from those that are in danger or in need.”
