11th Annual YMCA event kicks off fundraising campaign

IDAHO FALLS — The 11th Annual YMCA Annual Jump, Jive and Wail Event will take place from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Shilo Inn Convention Center in Idaho Falls.

The Hollywood themed event will include dinner, a dessert auction, silent and live auctions, dancing and gaming.

“From exercise and education to preventive health and youth programs, the YMCA doesn’t just strengthen bodies – we strengthen the community,” said Jo Lawrence, fitness and membership director in a news release. “The Jump, Jive and Wail event kicks off our annual fundraising campaign.”

The event will raise charitable funds to address issues and needs that concern the Idaho Falls community.

“Every dollar donated stays local and has a lasting impact on the people of Idaho Falls,” Lawrence said in a news release. “Your gift will build us a better us by ensuring that the Y’s doors are open to all.”

The event is for adults and will have several sponsorship opportunities and ways to participate in the evening’s activities.

An individual seat cost is $75 or a table may be purchased for 10 guests at $750. Event sponsors may donate a items or a gift of $1,000 or more for the live and silent auctions.
